How do I get there?

Our church is less than a ten minute walk from the west exit of Wakaba Station on the Tobu Tojo line. A map to our location is available here.

What about my children?

We don’t split up children from their families. Our church encourages you to worship Jesus together with your family at your side. We have activities during the service designed for you and your children to participate in together. Please bring your kids along with you to the worship service. We understand kids have lots of energy. That’s how God made them.

What is the Worship Service like?

We try to keep things simple. The services are comprised of a prayer, scripture readings, singing, a children’s activity, and a sermon. We teach the entire Bible over the course of a repeating three year period. Our services are in English and Japanese.

What is the Children’s Activity like?

During the children’s activity we review the Bible verse, doctrinal question and answer, and main idea taught during the sermon time. We encourage you to work with your children throughout the week to memorize the Bible verse, the doctrine question and answer, and talk about the children’s worksheet together. The children’s activity is in Japanese and English.

What kind of church is Christ Baptist Church?

We are a simple Christ-centered church.

• Our teaching is Christ-centered. We preach salvation by grace through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus. Only by his finished work can we be reconciled to God, transformed more into his image, and be with him forever in Heaven. The entire Bible points to Christ. We preach Christ every time we open the Bible. Christ is our only hope. We reject “best life now” teaching, legalism, and lawlessness as heresies.
• Our love for people is Christ-centered. While we were still sinners, Christ loved us and died to reconcile us to God. We encourage people to love, pray for, and help others even if they are different or treat us like enemies.
• Our mission is Christ-centered. We encourage people to make disciples of Christ and do Christ-motivated ministries of mercy in their community. Our goal is to saturate our community with the message of Jesus by encouraging involvement in our community, not isolating ourselves from it.

What kind of discipleship does Christ Baptist Church offer?

Our counseling and discipleship philosophy is not based on the empty philosophies of men, but instead is direct from the Bible and is Christ-centered. We believe the Bible has answers and lasting solutions for whatever you may be going through in life. We believe that God has given us all we need in His Word to know Christ and to live in a way that follows Him. Our difficulties may never completely go away, but when a person willingly submits to Christ-like thinking and behavior, there is help and hope. You can find help and hope, starting today.

What denomination is Christ Baptist Church a part of?

Christ Baptist Church is a Baptist church, and therefore is not part of a denomination since Baptist churches are independent churches. It is a mission of Grace Baptist Church in Saint Charles, Missouri, USA. Our church encourages fellowship with people from healthy Christian churches. We are not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons), Jehovah’s Witness (JW), or other cults that reject historical orthodox Christian doctrine.
